About Dr. Somaia Mohamed

Dr Somaia Mohamed

Dr. Somaia is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine and a licensed psychologist based in the New Haven area. With extensive experience across multiple psychological schools of thought, I’ve long been captivated by the intricate workings of the mind. The connection between mind and body is profound—shaping our interactions, motivations, and emotional responses in ways we often don’t even recognize.

While some may still dismiss psychology as pseudoscience, my work has shown me the undeniable power of the mind to influence both our physical and emotional well-being. The phrase “mind over matter” isn’t just a cliché—it reflects the extraordinary ways our thoughts can shape our lives.

Whether you're facing a significant life stressor, navigating a mental health challenge, or simply seeking guidance on how to move forward with clarity and purpose, you're in the right place.
